Summary:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing projects to make sure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget and scope.
Their duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules for all stakeholders and executing each step of the project.
The Project Coordinator will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives Coordinating timelines and adjust objectives according to new directives Preparing progress reports for management Coordinating status meetings and updating team members about potential project delays Directing employees as needed and answering questions about their expectations Managing project risks and alerting project manager of impending issues Turning business requirements into technical requirements Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones Hold regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, setting the priorities for them to ensure the project timeline is held Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness
Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of project coordination processes, strategies and methods Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams Solid oral and written communication skills, and comfortable presenting to everyone from entry-level employees to senior leadership Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles Organizational skills and time management skills to keep projects on track to the finish Project managing skills to start projects and finish projects successfully Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Management or Business
Experience:
2-3 years of project coordination in a high paced, technology based organization
