Farm Hand Do you love being outside and have a knack for making spaces look great then we've got just the job for you in our groundskeeping team! Company Overview Founded in 2002, Storybook Farm is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to build brighter futures for children.
Through relationships with animals, nature, mentors, and peers, we serve more than 3,200 children annually from broken or abusive homes or have suffered some type of adversity or trauma.
We work hard, have fun, and are driven by humility and gratitude.
Job Summary This job is good fit for an individual with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating and maintaining visibly appealing outdoor spaces.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working in all climates, have physical stamina, and a keen eye for detail.
This candidate should be able to take direction effectively, and work within a team environment.
Hours:
Part-time, year-round.
Weekend work.

Performance review at 30 days.
Starting Hourly Pay:
$13.
00 Responsibilities General Farm Duties - Clean and maintain barn and paddock areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance - Operate machinery:
tractor, lawnmower, manure spreader, power and hand tools.
- Assist with mowing and trimming pastures, and other green spaces.
- Water and care for flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants around the farm.
- Perform regular weeding, mulching, and pruning to maintain the appearance of the gardens and landscaped areas.
Equipment and Tool Maintenance - Ensure that tools and equipment are clean, organized, and maintained.
Skills and Qualifications - Previous large animal experience helpful, but not required.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and follow directions accurately.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
