Summary
The General Warehouse Worker will select and pack items identified on a store order pick sheet or from a radio frequency (voice or handheld) wireless unit. Must accurately prepare all cartons for shipment for various store locations.
Scope
Accurately select items with a Radio Frequency headset, place correctly in cartons, place labels and prepare for shipment to JoAnn Stores.
Complete all store assignments within a required labor standard.
Refill primary pick slots with appropriate product by article number following specific replenishment procedures.
Maintain a clean work area throughout the shift by stacking pallets, sweeping and picking up debris.
Ability to work effectively for significant periods of time in a location with little interpersonal contact.
Able to lift between 25-70 pounds unassisted.
Regular and predictable attendance
Education Requirements
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum: 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills
Ability to achieve and maintain production requirements. Attentive to all aspects of the work environment while working with others. Able to work effectively for significant periods of time in a location with little interpersonal contact. Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for a minimum of 8 hours per day and be able to lift between 25-70 pounds unassisted.
